Edward Joseph Gizinski, age 70, of Sykesville passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016, at Season Hospice at Northwest Hospital. Born August 5, 1945, in Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late Leonard Gizinski and Constance Smutek Gizinski. He was the husband of Linda Gizinski his wife of over 47 years. Ed had been a steamfitter for many years. He was a member of Steamfitters Local #438 and then its successor #486 for 36 years. He enjoyed shooting pool, dancing, weight lifting, listening to "Oldies" and watching documentaries. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially attending his grandchildren's sports events. Ed had served in the US Army. Surviving in addition to his wife are daughter, Michelle Gizinski-Deloach of Gettysburg; sister, Geri Brigandi of Ellicott City, Janet Ahern of Baltimore and Coni Gizinski of Sykesville and grandchildren, Marlana Haley Deloach and Matthew Tyler Deloach. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 1pm. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
