Edward Jerome Lawson, 87, of Catonsville, died early Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at Frederick Villa Nursing Home in Catonsville.

Born Aug. 12, 1926, in Akron, Ohio, he was the son of the late Homer and Jeannette Willoughby Lawson. He was the wife of Nancy C. Smith Lawson, whom he married in 1949.

He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Navy from 1946 until 1948. He was retired from Westinghouse Electric as an electrical engineer.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons Edward J. Lawson, of Hampstead, and Kenneth J. Lawson and wife Linda, of Finksburg; daughter Catherine S. Middleton and husband Hayes, of Manchester; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by daughters-in-law Deborah and Marie Lawson; a sister, Sara Lynn Emmett; and an infant brother, Kenneth Lawson.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service, 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster. Interment will follow at Deer Park Cemetery in Smallwood.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the , Central MD Chapter, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093.
