Edward L. Jordan, 87, of Westminster, died Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster.

Born Dec. 28, 1925, in Highpoint, N.C., he was the son of the late Willie Elmer and Lanor Collins Jordan. He was the husband of the late Mary Lou Cranston Jordan.

He was an Army veteran, having served in World War II.

Surviving are daughters Nancy Lee Mortimore and husband the. Rev. Richard, and Debera Ann Shaw and husband Mark Alan; grandchildren Timothy, Andrew and Daniel Mortimore, Benjamin DeHaven and Christina Ullrich; three great-grandsons; a brother, Ralph Jordan; and a sister, Nellie Hollingshead.

He was predeceased by a brother, James "Bud" Jordan.

Viewings will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, Pa.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the mortuary. Interment will be in Mount Zion United Methodist Cemetery in Freeland.
