Eileen Patricia Wright, 52, of Mount Airy, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House.

Born March 31, 1961, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Thomas H. and Elizabeth Dimond Smith. She was the wife of John "Jack" Wright Jr., whom she married in September 1986.

She was a 1986 graduate of the University of Maryland, with a Bachelor of Science degree in education, and was involved in business software training at the National Institutes of Health before becoming a homemaker and home school mother in 1993. She also dedicated her life to helping families and children through church ministries and visitation.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are children David Wright, Matthew Wright, Benjamin Wright and Emily Wright, all of Mount Airy; siblings Kathleen Judy, of Venice, Fla., Brian Smith, of Avon Lake, Ohio, and Stephen Smith, of Odenton; father-in-law John Wright Sr., of Glen Arm; sisters-in-law Michael Wright, of Cape Cod, Mass., Pamela Wright, of Towson, and Hiliary Riley, of Parkton; and seven nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Smith; and mother-in-law Dolores Wright.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Open Door, 550 Baltimore Blvd., Westminster, with the Revs. Norris Belcher and Rick Holbrook officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, with a reception at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Church of the Open Door Children's Ministries, 550 Baltimore Blvd., Westminster, MD 21157.
