Eleanor Louise Crawmer, 82, of Westminster, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House, following a short illness.

Born Nov. 9, 1930, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Mary Gonder Stouffer. She was the wife of John Walter Crawmer, her husband of 65 years.

She was a member of Union Bridge Church of the Brethren. She was formerly employed at Union Bridge Clothing Company and Joseph A. Bank as a seamstress, retiring in 1995. She enjoyed making crafts, giving plastic canvas baskets to friends, crocheting, listening to country music and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughters and sons-in-law Bonnie C. and Eddie Eckard, of Union Bridge, and Kathy L. and Charlie Keeney, of Falling Waters, W.Va.; grandchildren John Eckard, Sandy Eckard and Dawn Creek; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a brother, Robert W. Stouffer, of Keysville.

She was predeceased by a sister, Betty Scattergood; brothers Gerald and Richard Stouffer; and a granddaughter, Trish Eckard.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 6 E. Broadway, Union Bridge. 

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with her pastor, the Rev. James Benedict, officiating. Interment will be in Meadow Branch Cemetery in Westminster.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
