Eleanor Alice Schilling, 90, a long time resident of Carroll Lutheran Village, died January 27, 2016, at her home. Born December 31, 1925, in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of the late Robert W. Storm and Ruth (Cole) Storm. She was the wife of the late Jacques W. Schilling, who died in 2009. Prior to her marriage Eleanor attended college in California. Returning to Baltimore she worked for various companies as a secretary, while pursing her avocation - evangelism. Music was a part of her evangelistic work (accordion, organ, piano and guitar). She was a homemaker and then enjoyed working for 16 years as the New Resident Liaison for the Marketing Department at Carroll Lutheran Village, retiring in 2006. Accomplished at knitting and crocheting, in recent years many benefited from the beautiful blankets she made and donated to Social Services in Westminster, MD. Eleanor was a devoted mother, loving grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by step-daughter Joanne Blum, daughters Karen and her husband Ken Davis, and Bonnie and her husband John Harrison; grandchildren Dietrich Blum, Sarah Williams, Samantha Pennini, Tim Davis, Shelby Harrison and four great-grandchildren. According to her wishes, her body is being donated to the State of Maryland Anatomy Board and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
