Elizabeth "Betty" Angell Noyes, age 80, of Lady Lake, FL, formerly of Sykesville, died Thursday, January 1, 2015, at the Villages Regional Hospital, Lady Lake, FL. Born November 12, 1934, in Taneytown, MD she was the daughter of the late Paul Angell and Anna Null Angell. She was the wife of the late George H. Noyes, Sr. Betty had retired as a nurse from the Springfield Hospital Center, Sykesville. She had been a member of the Springfield Presbyterian Church, Sykesville and for several years a member of the North Lake Presbyterian Church, Lady Lake, FL. She had been active at North Lake Presbyterian singing in the choir, helping with the homebound, Stephen ministries and the Wildwood Soup Kitchen. Betty had been a member of the Door to Virtue Chapter #94, Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, George H., Jr. and Stephanie Noyes of Hampstead; daughter and her companion, Beth Sylves and Jeff Seitz of Westminster; sisters, Sara M. Noyes of Westminster, Margaret S. Baker of Hanover, PA, Rebecca Mikules of Sarasota, FL and Grace N. Justice of Westminster; grandchildren, Rachel Stewart and husband Joe, Allyson Teaford and companion, Michael Azen, Kristen Noyes and her boyfriend Jonathan Ritter Jr., Breanna Sylves and Bobby Sylves and great-grandchildren, Hailee and Caelan Stewart. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by sisters, Jane F. May and Mary Pobletts. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Grace United Church of Christ Cemetery, Taneytown. Those desiring may make memorial donations to North Lake Presbyterian Church, 975 Rolling Acres Road, Lady Lake, FL 32159.
