Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Sensabaugh, 82, of Westminster, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Golden Crest Assisted Living in Westminster. Born on November 8, 1934 in Cashtown, PA she was the daughter of the late Earl and Grace Starner Cole. Betty was the wife of her first late husband Charles W. Cook who predeceased her in 1986 and her late second husband Grover Sensabaugh who predeceased her in 2000. Betty had a love for life and enjoyed a healthy, active lifestyle until the last few months of her life. She and Charlie were farmers and while she worked as a secretary at B.F. Shriver Co., during the first years of their marriage, she also loved working beside him on the farm. Betty and Charlie visited Disney World during it's grand opening in 1971 and that visit led to a life-long love of anything Disney. She visited Disney nearly every year on her birthday through her 81st year. Betty loved dining out, bus trips, casino visits, and spending time with her grandson Aiden. She made friends everywhere she went, whether it was with the "airport gang" who shared a love of flying with her and Charlie, the friends she made at Craft Word, or at her beloved job as an Information Specialist with Carroll County Tourism. Betty was a member of the Maryland Farm Bureau and the Taylorsville-Winfield Lions Club, where she served a term as President, and she loved her interaction with the members of the Lions Club. Betty and her second husband Sam loved to travel. Her recent move to Bella Vita Senior Condominiums brought another special group of friends into her life. Surviving Betty are daughter and son-in-law Linda C. and Bill Stitely of Westminster; granddaughter and husband Blaire and Eric Gill; and great grandson Aiden Gill. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 8 from 10:00 a.m. until the start of a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 a.m. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster with Rev. Mindy Coates officiating. Interment will be private. Her care in the final month of her life from Golden crest Assisted Living and Carroll Hospice was exemplary and the family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty's name to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
