Elliott Rodgers Burgher, Jr., 80, of Westminster, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, at the Carroll Hospital Center, surrounded by family. Born April 10, 1934 in Staten Island, NY. He was the son of the late Elliott R. Burgher, Sr. and Elizabeth (McMahon) Burgher. He is survived by his wife, Eileen M. Burgher. Before retiring he was an Industrial Engineer. He is a member of Westminster United Methodist Church, where he was a Stephen Minister. He was a former member of Sandymount United Methodist Church and a current member of the Reisterstown Moose and Westminster Elks Lodge No. 2277. He was a musician, playing the piano and keyboard with the band "By Heart." In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 children Karen L. Hersh of Westminster, Andrew S. Burgher and wife Kathy of Muskegon, MI and Tracey L. Harbaugh and husband Steve of Indianapolis, IN; step-children George Puls and wife Patricia of Catonsville, Richard H. Puls and wife Carol of Baltimore, Carol Middlecamp and husband Robert of Ellicott City, Donna M. Williams and husband Robert of Ellicott City and Michael W. Puls and wife Karen of Catonsville. Also survived by 23 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Westminster United Methodist Church, 165 E. Main St., Westminster, with Pastors Shari McCourt and Kenneth Humbert co-officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Westminster United Methodist Church, 162 E. Main St., Westminster, MD 21157.
