Elmer LeRoy "Roy" Masimore, 90, of Pompano Beach, Fla., formerly of Timonium, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at home.

Born Nov. 10, 1922, in Parkton, he was the oldest son of the late Harvey E. and Rosa Gladys Masimore.

He was a veteran of World War II and served in the Central European Theater in 1945. He was enlisted into the Army in 1944 and was discharged as a sergeant in 1946. He retired after more than 25 years of service with the Sun Oil Company in Baltimore.

He was a long time member of Loch Raven Baptist Church in Towson.

Surviving are children Sally Seidlich, of Westminster,  Debbie LeBon, of Pasadena, and Charles Masimore, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; siblings Clarence Masimore, of Stewartstown, Pa. and Gladys Rau, of Woodlawn; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Harvey E. "Eddie" Masimore.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, 10 W. Padonia Road, at York Road, Timonium.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
