EVANS, Emil Franklin, 94, natural of Bruin, Kentucky passed away in Orlando, Florida on February 2, 2018. He is predeceased by his parents Minnie Lewis and Clifford Evans, children Ronald Lee and Margaret Marcel Evans, and by his siblings: Gladys Evans-Walker, Glen Henry Evans, Beula Maggerd, Molly Evans Porter, Ethel Evans Porter, Ernest Evans, Lowell Evans, Drew Evans, and Burt Evans. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret Mollie Evans; by his children: Shirley J. Thomas, Cornett Evans, Delores Franklin, Geneva Hamm, Deborah Evans, and Denise Evans-Dennis (and her two cats Kimmie & Rusty); by his grandchildren: Virginia Thomas Klosterman, James (Jamie) M. Thomas, Elizabeth W. Deluca, Molly B. Knight, Emil C. Evans, Christopher W. Franklin, Candice N. Vleugels, Joshua D. Hamm, Matthew J. Hamm, Michael (Mikey) C. Hamm; by his great-grandchildren: Christian T. Hudak, Dylan J. Hudak, Steven D. Hudak, Autumn M. Knight, William F. Knight, Scarlet B. Knight, Emily Valayna Evans, Gabrielle Franklin, William (Liam) Titcomb-Franklin, Zoe N. Vleugels, Zico F. Vleugels, Hannah C. Hamm, Cora N. Knight-Hamm, London M. Hamm, Skylar T. Hamm, Savannah L. Buskell; and by his great-great-granddaughter Isla Grey Fox-Hudak (and another baby on the way). Emil was a World War II Veteran and very proud of his time and service in the U.S. Army. He was also a very active member in the community by helping and volunteering in several causes, always ready and willing to help everyone who needed him. Most of all he was a loving and kind man to all his family and friends, and will be deeply missed by all. A visitation was held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Porta Coeli Funeral Home, 2801 E. Osceola Parkway, Kissimmee, FL 34743 with services held at 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home. At 11:30 AM on Thursday, February 8, 2018 he was laid to rest at Cape Canaveral Cemetery, located at 5525 US-1 North, Mims, FL 32754. Emil will forever be remembered and loved by all those who knew him. May he rest in peace.
