Emory "Poss" Burnell Wildasin age 89 of New Oxford, PA died suddenly Friday May 29, 2015 at the Hanover Hospital in Hanover, PA. Born August 14, 1925 in Manchester, MD he was the son of the late Harry and Bessie Clara Snyder Wildasin. He was the beloved husband of Betty LaMotte Wildasin, his wife of 65 years. Poss was a retired meat cutter for Maurer and Miller Meats in Manchester. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Manchester where he had served on church council. He was a life member of the Hanover Moose and the Hampstead American Legion. He proudly served in the Navy during WWII and enjoyed refinishing trunks. Surviving in addition to his wife are daughter and son in law, Sharon and Rev. David Helfrich of Woodstock, Georgia, granddaughter, Christin Morrison and husband Andrew, great granddaughter, Sophie Morrison all of Acworth, Georgia and a sister, Julia Foster of Hampstead, MD. He was predeceased by siblings, Betty Cursey, Thelma Calary, Miriam Masemore and Clair Feeser. The family will receive friends on Friday June 5, 2015 from 4-7 pm. at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, PA 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD. A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 6, 2015 at 11:00am. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 3184 Church St., Manchester, MD with the Rev. Chris Litton and the Rev. David Helfrich officiating. Interment will be private in the New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester, MD. If desired donations may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund at Cross Keys Village, 2990 Carlisle Pike, New Oxford, PA 17350.
