Erika U. Brandenburg age 90, of Westminster, MD Erika U. Brandenburg, age 90, of Carroll Lutheran Village, Westminster, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 31, 2015. Born May 15, 1925, in Stettler, Alberta, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Frederick William Kruger and Elisabeth Helen Telchow Kruger. She was the wife of the late William Brandenburg, Jr. who died in 1986. Erika had worked as a manager for a Sales Order Catalog company. She served as the Town Clerk for the Town of Sykesville. Erika was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Sykesville. A Life Time Member of Victoria Chapter OES in Stettler, Alberta, Canada and Freedom Chapter OES, Eldersburg. Erika was active at Bart's Centenary United Methodist Church (Littlestown) enjoying the Ladies Groups, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School, doing crafts, her flowerbeds and travelling. She spent the past several years at Carroll Lutheran Village. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Elizabeth L. "Betty Lou" and James W. Dell, III of Littlestown, PA. and grandchildren, James W. Dell , IV (wife Sandy), Jason W. Dell (wife Miranda),Great-Grandson J.W. Dell V and Great-Grandaughter Ashley Anne Dell., as well as many nieces and nephews. Erika was predeceased by her granddaughter, Brenda Lynne Dell, brothers: Helmut, Herb, Werner Kruger, sister - Hilda Payne and nephew Ronnie Kruger. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville where a funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11am. Interment will follow in Wards Chapel Cemetery, Randallstown. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carroll Lutheran Village Resident Assistance Fund, 300 St. Luke Circle, Westminster, Maryland 21158
