Ernest S. Conrey, 93, of Marriottsville, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at home.?

Born Sept. 27, 1919, he was the son of the late William Fletcher and Janet Armstrong Conrey. ?

He had been a farmer for all of his life, growing fruits and vegetables. He enjoyed reading and baseball games. He was a lifelong member of Wards Chapel United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a sister-in-law, Thelma Conrey, of Catonsville; a cousin, Laura Scott, of Randallstown; many nieces, nephews and cousins; friends Yuchi Young, of New York, Gilbert Deitz, of Baltimore, and Mac and Linda Ensor, of Woodstock; and his caregiver, Charles Kriete Sr., of Marriottsville.

He was predeceased by siblings Fletcher Conrey, Ed Conrey and Hazel Kirkwood.?

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service, noon Thursday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, with the Rev. John Nupp officiating, and the Rev. Olin Herndon, longtime friend, participating in the service. Interment will follow in Wards Chapel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Wards Chapel United Methodist Church, 11023 Liberty Road, Randallstown, MD 21133.
