Estella Mae Williams

On Saturday morning, December 3, 2016, Estella Mae Williams moved from her house in Uniontown to her home in heaven. Following a long battle she is now at peace. Born on May 10, 1934 in Westminster, MD, she was the daughter of Freda and Charles Petry. Stella was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul Eugene Williams. She is survived by her son Paul Williams and her daughter Dora Papp and their spouses Joanne and Paul , grandchildren Catina Padgett, Danielle Green and her husband Brad, Jacob Papp and his wife Rachel, Adam Papp and his wife Heather, Hesed Chapolini and her husband Tony and Bethany Anderson and her husband Paul. The great grandchildren are: Leon Jr., Steven and Brooke Padgett; Teaghen Green; Lydia, Caleb, Anna and Peter Papp; Jonah and Luke Papp; Aiden Papp, Aria, Vincent Chapolini; and Naomi and Sarah Anderson.  Stella is also survived by her sister Juanita Bennett and her husband John and her brother Charles Petry and his wife Carolyn and a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Stella was always an active part of her community. She was a long time member at Uniontown United Methodist Church, serving on the Church Council, Staff Parish Relations Committee, Cemetery Committee and Trustees. She taught Sunday School and years ago was a Den Mother for the local Cub Scout den. When it was time to sing at the community Christmas tree and throughout the town, there was Stella in the midst of the crowd and later at the school house helping to serve fresh baked cookies and hot cider and chocolate.  During Christmases past Stella's house was filled with the wonderful aroma of her baking; cakes, pies and cookies were her specialty. A viewing for Mrs. Williams will be held on Wednesday, December 7 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, MD 21157. Her funeral will take place on Thursday, December 8 at 10:00 a.m. at Uniontown UMC, 3405 Uniontown Rd, Westminster, Maryland 21158. Pastor Darrell Davis of the Uniontown United Methodist Church and Pastor Paul A. Papp of the Texas United Methodist Charge will officiate. One more window blind in Uniontown is permanently closed.
