Eva Belle Smith, age 93, of Westminster, died Monday, April 17, 2017 at Shepherd's Glen Assisted Living, near Middleburg. Born August 28, 1923 in Hardinsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late James Percy and Mary Emily Hall Voyles. She was the wife of Charles Norman Smith Sr. who died in 2005. Mrs. Smith was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Westminster. She enjoyed piecing quilts and quilting, crocheting and baking cookies and fruit cakes. Surviving are children, Charles Norman Smith Jr. and wife Barbara of Martinsburg, WV; Donald R. Smith and wife Dorothy and Daniel A. Smith and wife Selena, all of Littlestown, PA; Lois Mummert, and Gary E. Smith and wife Tammy , all of Hanover, PA; 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; sisters, Audrey Horsley of Clover Port, KY; Daisy Wilsey and Anna Lucas, both of Louisville, KY; and brothers, James and Percy Voyles, both of Louisville; Robert Voyles of Clover Port and Paul Voyles of Tell City, IN. She was predeceased by grandsons, Brian and James M. Smith and brothers, Phillip and Burl Voyles. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 21, at First Church of the Nazarene, 147 Sullivan Ave., Westminster, with church pastor, Rev. Patrick Roxby, officiating. Interment will follow in Rocky Hill Cemetery, near Woodsboro. The family will receive friends at Hartzler Funeral Home, 404 S. Main St., Woodsboro, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 19 and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church on Friday.
