Eva Pauline Stoner departed this world and entered into eternal life with the Lord Jesus Christ on May 26, 2017. She was the wife of David Stoner, mother of Kathy and Mark Stoner, and the daughter of James and Gladys Pearl. Pauline, as she was known, grew up in Lander, Maryland, and is survived by her sisters, Freda Johnson and Elva Rollins, and her brother, Donald Pearl. After marrying David, she worked together with him on their farm outside of Johnsville, Maryland, and raised their children Kathy and Mark. Later in life Pauline became an Activities Director with Adventist HealthCare where she was loved by the residents for the happiness and caring she brought to them every day. Pauline gave of herself her entire life - to her family, her friends, her church. She knew the value of living in a free nation, and remained politically engaged throughout her life. (Her children will never forget having lunch with their mother and then Congressman Mac Mathias in the House of Representatives Dining Room in Washington DC.) Pauline made life a celebration - a joyous event. She was exuberant, fearless and loving. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday May 30 at Hartzler Funeral Home, 11802 Liberty Road, Libertytown, with Rev. Miriam Hellman officiating. Interment will follow in Pipe Creek Cemetery, near Linwood, MD.
