Mrs. Frances Harriot Crawmer, 88, of Hanford, CA and formerly of New Windsor, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Adventist Medical Center, Hanford. Born June 30, 1926 in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Harry Feeser and Frances Margaret Shoemaker Feeser Manning. She was the wife of John Melvin Crawmer Jr., who predeceased her in 1987. Mrs. Crawmer was a 1943 graduate of New Windsor High School. She was employed at the New Windsor Pharmacy and later Union Bridge Pharmacy for over 40 years. She enjoyed playing bingo, traveling, and was an avid reader, always with a book in hand. Surviving are a daughter, Frances Ann Hymiller and husband, Gary, of Mt. Airy; sons, James Patrick Crawmer of Westminster and John Stephen Crawmer and wife, Kim of Hanford; grandchildren, Austin and Allison, Ashley, Jessica, Brian, Michael, Jamie, and Noah; and great-grandchildren, Levi, Jocelyn, Audrey, and Scarlett; a sister, Sally Tressler of Littlestown, PA; and a brother, Christian Manning of Union Bridge. She was predeceased by a son, George Edward Crawmer in 2011. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 1 at Hartzler Funeral Home, 310 Church St., New Windsor. Rev. James Benedict, pastor of Union Bridge Church of the Brethren, will officiate. Interment will be in Pipe Creek Cemetery, near Linwood. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
