Fay Leola Minnick, 68, of Westminster, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, at Carroll Hospice Dove House.

Born Nov. 2, 1945, in Oak Orchard, Frederick County, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Z. Garber and Dorothy L. Devilbiss Garber.

She was a 1963 graduate of Francis Scott Key High School. She worked for many years in the warehouse of Kessler Shoe Factory, SERRV International at the Brethren Service Center in New Windsor and retired from Random House in Westminster.

She enjoyed reading, gardening, flowers and listening to country music.

Surviving are siblings Ralph Garber and wife Ann Marie, of Gettysburg, Pa.; Richard Garber and wife Mary, of Union Bridge; William Edward Garber and wife Caroline; and Gary Garber and wife Peggy, all of New Windsor; Dolores Frounfelter and husband Charles, of McKinstry Mill; Elizabeth Dell, of Finksburg, and Carolyn Miller, of Taneytown; a sister-in-law, Betty Garber, of Union Bridge; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was predeceased by siblings Maurice Garber and Joan Garber.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of memorial service, 2 p.m. Sunday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster, with the Rev. Anne C. Durboraw officiating. Interment will be held at a later date at Pipe Creek Cemetery, near Linwood.
