Flemon Douglas "Doug" Gullion, 74 of Hanover, passed peacefully on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at home. He was the loving husband of Esther Louise (Basler) Gullion, his wife of 54 years. Born February 2, 1940 in Groseclose, VA, he was a son of the late Flemon Dorson and Betty Mae (Anders) Gullion. Doug was the owner operator of Doug's Radiator Shop, Hanover for 33 years retiring in 2011. He was a member of the McSherrystown Home Assn. Doug was an outdoorsman and an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved going fishing on the Chesapeake Bay at Taylor's Island in Cambridge, MD and loved hunting anywhere in the mountains. In addition to his wife Esther, Doug is survived by his son, Mark Steven Gullion of Hanover and his children Tracey M. Gullion of California and Travis L. Gullion of Frackville, PA; his daughter, Cheryl Lynne Glaser and her husband Eric of Hanover and their children Gabby and Aiden Glaser; his sister-in-law Sandy Hoshall and Bruce Yarnell of Hampstead, MD and their daughters, Lynn and Matt Hicks and their children of Westminster, MD, Kim Hoshall and Bill Irwin and their children of Hampstead, MD and Jenna and Brett Peregoy of Hampstead, MD; his sister-in-law Patsy Gullion of North Carolina; and many many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Doug was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers. Services for Mr. Gullion will be private at the convenience of the family.
