Florence Mulligan Abshire, 93 of Sykesville, died Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Fairhaven. Born August 7, 1922 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Hester Corner Wagner. She was the wife of the late Graham Mulligan and the late Alfred Abshire. She had been a homemaker, flower gardener, and birdwatcher. She was a Girl Scout leader, a docent for an art museum, and did skilled flower arranging for her church. Surviving are sons Graham Paul Mulligan and his wife Dorothy, and James Mulligan and his wife Jan, daughters Carolyn Arnold and her husband Edward, Susan Janecek and her husband Gerald, and Hester King, brother Richard Wagner, 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Baer Wagner. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Fairhaven Chapel, 7200 Third Avenue, Sykesville, with Rev. Wayne Larsen and Pastor Ryan Arnold officiating.
