Florence Miller, 79, of Taneytown, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at Golden Living Center in Westminster.

Born Jan. 19, 1933, in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late William and Florence Shephard Robinson. She was the wife of Godfrey G. Miller, who died Nov. 25, 2007.

She was a homemaker. She enjoyed doing needlepoint, watching wrestling, spending time with friends at Hesson-Snider American Legion Post 120 in Taneytown, and having breakfast at the Taneytown Gun Club, where she had been a lifelong member.

Surviving are sons Godfrey "Butch" Miller Jr. and wife Margaret, of Finksburg, Bill Miller and wife Tammie, of Taneytown, Garland Miller and wife Vickie, of McSherrystown, Pa.; daughters Joyce Dayhoff and husband Shane, and Florence N. Miller, all of Littlestown, Pa.; sisters Margaret English, Mary J. Vanderver and husband Roy, Elizabeth Katka and husband John, and Leanor Robinson, all of Philadelphia, Pa., and Helen Williamson, of Delaware; brothers Andrew Robinson, Dave Robinson and wife Joyce, and George Robinson, all of Philadelphia; grandchildren Nicole Tidman, Joel and Jacob Reece, William, Garland, Franklin, Ashley, Rebecca, Godfrey III, Joey, Coty and Liz Miller; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, 11501 Garrison Forest Road, Owings Mills, at a later date.
