Floyd K. "Shaff" Shaffer, 75, of Westminster, died Sunday evening, Jan. 13, 2013, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House.

Born May 20, 1937, in Carroll County, he was the son of the late Paul R. and Rachel M. Smith Shaffer.

He was employed as a furniture mover for Geiman's, the Hub and the Room Store in Westminster, and was also was a security guard for the Stone Quarry in Medford.

Surviving are brother Daniel L. Shaffer Sr., of Westminster; a companion, Dorothy "Dot" Bauerlien, of Westminster; numerous nieces and nephews; 15 great-nieces and great-nephews; and numerous cousins.

He was predeceased by a brother, Harold "Jack" Shaffer; and sisters Joan Arnsberger, Marian Thomas and Janet Souers.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster.

A funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dick Wilson and the Rev. Bob Kapfer officiating. Interment will follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery.
