Frances V. Gardner, 87, of Glen Rock, died Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Monroe Gardner. There will be a viewing from 6 - 8 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2017, at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, and on Tuesday, August 15, from 10 - 11 a.m. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the mortuary with Rev. Jim McCaffrey officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Steltz Cemetery. Frances was born December 31, 1929, in McSherrystown, a daughter of the late Harry Wilson and Laura Elizabeth (Sandruck) Neudecker. She graduated from Hampstead High School and was a Notary Public for over fifty years, retiring in 2009 from Codorus Twp. Frances was also the co-owner of the former Gardner Garage operated by her late husband, Monroe. She loved spending time with her family, cooking, sewing, and talking with people. Surviving is a daughter, Joan A. Krebs, and her husband, Raymond of Glen Rock; 3 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a brother, Carroll Neudecker, and his wife Jean, and a sister, Ruby Fair.
