Francis Anthony "Cheech" DeMarino, 80, of Taneytown, MD passed away at Western Maryland Health Center on October 27, 2014. Born April 11, 1934, in Eckhart, MD, Francis was the son of the late Pauline and Michael DeMarino. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph L. DeMarino. A graduate of Beall High School, class of 1952, Francis served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956. He was a former Maryland State Trooper and retired from the U.S. Department of Labor. Francis is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joyce (Grubb); and his children Lisa and Joe Rock, Clermont, FL; Susan Trumbull, Libertytown, MD; and Anne and Bert Salter, New Market, MD. He is also survived by his grandchildren Max, Sydney and Colin Rock; David Trumbull; and Will and Patrick Salter. Also surviving is his brother Victor DeMarino of LaVale, MD and sister-in-law Mary DeMarino, and two nieces and a nephew. Francis donated his body to the Maryland State Anatomy Board. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at Carroll Vista in Taneytown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Taneytown Volunteer Fire Department, National MS Society or to a . Inurnment will be at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery.
