Francis Earl Lowe, 70, of Taylorsville, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.

Born June 9, 1942, in Westminster, he was the son of the late C. William Lowe and the late Bessie Barber Lowe. He was the husband of Janet Moore Lowe, his wife of 50 years.

Before retiring, he worked as a mechanic and truck driver for Fogles Septic Service.

Surviving are daughters and son-in-law Kathy Poma and Max, of Eldersburg, Kelly Drechsler and husband Randy, of Taylorsville, Kristine Swann and husband Rob, of Sykesville, a son, Doug Lowe, of Taylorsville, a daughter, Kimberly Moore and fiance Elliott Sterner, of Hanover, Pa.; brothers Raymond Lowe, of Hagerstown, Roy Lowe, of Hanover, Pa.; sisters Edna Mae Hitt, of Littlestown, Pa., Rose Marie Long, of Westminster, Mary Katherine Devilbiss, of Taneytown, and Darlene Lowe; an aunt, Bessie Barber, a cousin, Rosalee Frizzell, a brother-in-law, Larry Moore; and grandchildren Stephanie Sekulski and husband Kain, Heather Lowe, Chelsea Warner, Sara Swann, Brady Drechsler, Christopher Moore, and Emily Crusenberry.

He was predeceased by a grandson, Thomas Allen Holmes, a brother, Edward Lowe, and an uncle, Monroe Barber.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. O.F. "Bud" Kibbe officiating.

Interment will be in Taylorsville United Methodist Church Cemetery in Taylorsville.
