Francis J. "Frank" Kane, 91, of Westminster passed away early on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Carroll Hospice Dove House. Born June 22, 1923, in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late John Henry and Mary (McNeill) Kane. He was the loving husband of 70 years to Mary A. (Dickey) Kane. He was retired in 1969 from the United States Air Force as Sergeant Major and served during WWII, The Korean Conflict and Vietnam as a Hospital Corpsman. He also worked as the Director of Administrative Services for Dunkin Donuts in Weymouth, MA and Oxbow Corporation as an Administrative Assistant, retiring in 1985. He enjoyed taking day trips. He attended St. John Catholic Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are daughter and son-in-law Karen A. and Gary Knights of Westminster, son John H. Kane of Aiken, SC; grandchildren, Richard P. Kane, Jason Kozowyk, Dawn Saul and Linda, Sean and Justin Kane and 17 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8pm at the PRITTS FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster, with Father John Lesnick as celebrant. Interment with full military honors will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157 or to The Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
