Frederick George "Fred" Weidner, 74, of Westminster passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Carroll County Hospital. He was born on November 15, 1941 in Baltimore and was the son of the late Frederick Joseph and Lillian (nee Hogg) Weidner. He was the devoted husband to Elizabeth Ann Weidner, his wife of 55 years. Frederick worked as a mechanic and then became a school bus driver contractor for Carroll County. He was one of the founding members of Evergreen Riding and Gun Club, a member of Carroll County 4H and Chevoniare Dairy Goat Club. He enjoyed horse back riding, collecting guns, and camping. Surviving him in addition to his wife are children and spouses Frederick Joseph and June Weidner of Northeast, Patricia Lynn and John Frock Jr of Westminster, Sherri Elizabeth and David Irwin of Odessa, FL, and Dennis Richard and Ann Weidner of Westminster; grandchildren Joey, Aaron, Andrew, Johnny, Tabitha, Kodie, Colt, Emma, and Sadie; great grandchildren Dominic, Cameron, Jayden, and Peyton. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 6 to 8pm at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster, and on Thursday from 10 until the start of funeral services at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will be in Westminster Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the , 2002 Clipper Park Rd., Suite 110, Baltimore MD 21211.
