Frederick Peters Jr., 85, of Marion Station formerly of Westminster, died on Saturday, January 20, 2018, peacefully at McCready Hospital. Born on May 24, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Frederick and Martha Bryant Peters. Frederick graduated from Franklin High School in Philadelphia, PA. He entered the United States Army in January of 1954, where he served during the Korean War. During his time in the Army, he attended OCS and served as a Captain in the Army Corps of Engineers. He was employed as a District Sales Manager for Nationwide Insurance and later as a truck sales manager for various Ford Dealerships in Maryland. Frederick was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed knot tying, camping, woodworking and photography. He was also an avid traveler and reader. He was a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association and the American Legion. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Frederick is survived by his wife of 64 years Leah LaRue Peters; four sons, Frederick R. Peters and his wife Poksun, James B. Peters and his wife Suzanne, Harry L. Peters, and Randolph A. Peters; one daughter, Wendy K. Peters-Cole and her husband Allen; four grandsons, Kevin Peters, Jacob Peters, Samuel Peters, and Zachary Peters; two granddaughters, Emily Peters and Samantha Sprauer Peters; and one great-granddaughter, Leah Peters; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Joan Winazak and Virginia Walls. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Holloway Funeral Home, Salisbury. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Frederick's honor to a .
