G. LaVerne Keilholtz, 85, of Littlestown, Pa., died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Gettysburg Hospital.

Born March 30, 1928, in Keysville, he was the son of the late Grier and Carrie Newcomer Kielholtz. He was the husband of Bessie Good Keilholtz, his wife of almost 64 years.

He was a lifelong farmer and retired from Random House Inc. of Westminster in 1990, after 21 years of service. He was a member of Christ United Church of Christ in Littlestown, and the Random House Retirees Association.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughters Shirley L. Krieger and husband Brian L., of Reisterstown, and Barbara J. Keilholtz, of Hanover, Pa.; sons Richard F. Keilholtz and wife Jane C., Robert L. Keilholtz and wife Barbara A., all of Taneytown, and David E. Keilholtz and wife Lisa A., of Littlestown; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a sister, Roseanna Dinterman.

Viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Little's Funeral Home, 34 Maple Ave., Littlestown.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with his pastor, the Rev. Craig E. Arentz, officiating. Interment will be in Keysville Union Cemetery in Keysville.
