Gae Anne Olmsted, age 89, of Cross Keys Village in New Oxford, PA passed away on June 1, 2017 at the Dove House in Westminster, MD after a long enduring battle with cancer which she handled with grace and smiles. Born July 16, 1927 in Buffalo, NY, she was the only child of the late George and Frances Jaeger. She was the loving supportive wife of the late Robert Irving Olmsted from Maine and the outstanding mother of four children and three grandchildren. She graduated with an art degree at Pratt Institute in New York City and worked there as a commercial artist for several years. She loved to travel and explore new places and was filled with curiosity in all things. She is now home again in the arms of her Lord and God and reunited with many who have known and loved her. She is survived by her son Robb Olmsted of Washougal, Washington, and her two daughters Lynn Hubbard of Westminster, MD and Sandra Arnold of Argyle, NY. Her eldest son, Marc Olmsted predeceased her in his youth. Her grandchildren include Robert and Kim Arnold of Argyle, NY and Ashlen Olmsted of Chicago, IL. Her step grandchildren include Jason and Aria Lynch and their son Matthew, Christopher Hubbard and his three children Marcus, Tenley, and Rhylen, and Allyssa and Brian Mosley of Chapel Hill, NC. The family will receive friends at her memorial service to celebrate her life on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 10 AM at the Nicarry Meeting House at Cross Keys Village, A Brethren Community at 2990 Carlisle Pike, New Oxford, PA 17350.
