Gary Charles Watson, 56, of Union Bridge, died unexpectedly Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Born Oct. 3, 1957, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late LaRoy W. and Mary A. Zentz Watson. He was the husband of Christine Fowler Watson, whom he married Dec. 30, 1988.

He was a school bus driver for Frank Horton Inc. from 1987 until 1999. He then worked for Vickie A. Cubbage Inc., from 1999 until his death.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, sitting by the campfire and being with his friends and family. He enjoyed cracking jokes. He was an avid Orioles fan, Star Trek fan and liked watching wrestling and playing cards, darts and dice.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughters and son-in-law Heather J. Parkhurst, of Westminster, and Barbara L. and Charles Cordwell Jr., of Union Bridge; a brother, Sterling Watson, of Union Bridge; sister Nancy Watson and companion Nik Gripton, of Westminster; grandchildren Tiffany and Isabelle Parkhurst, of Seven Valleys, Pa.; and nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.

He was predeceased by an infant son, Gary C. Watson Jr.; and a brother, Robert L. Watson.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Deacon Charles Barnhart Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Linganore Cemetery in Unionville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Frederick Memorial Hospital, 400 W. Seventh St., Frederick, MD 21701.
