Gary R. Airing, 54, of Taneytown, died Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at his home.

Born May 30, 1959, in Gettysburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Richard E. and Ethel Warner Airing. He was the husband of Christina "Christy" Feister Airing since Aug. 4, 2012.

He was the owner/operator of Gary R. Airing Painting for 37 years. He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Taneytown, York Adams 2 Cylinder, Mason-Dixon Historical Society and Littlestown F.O.E.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons Richard A. Airing and wife Lauren, of Union Mills, Jason D. Airing and wife Gina, of Union Bridge, and Jarrett N. Hise, of Taneytown; daughters Jessica N. Levine and husband Justin, and Ashley N. Hise, all of Taneytown; grandchildren Dylan, Dalton and Kirstyn Airing; brothers David C. Airing, of Westminster, Roger W. Airing, and twin brother Larry E. Airing Sr. and wife Helen, all of Taneytown; father-in-law and mother-in-law Larry and Joan Feister, of Taneytown; and a brother-in-law, Jim Feister, of Taneytown.

Visitation will be 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service, 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Steven Ostendorf officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Joan and Larry Feister, 2365 Otterdale Mill Road, Taneytown, MD 21787, to help defray funeral expenses.
