Genevieve A. Wilson Garman, 95, of Westminster, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at her residence at Brightview Westminster Ridge. Born on September 30, 1921 in Renville, MN, she was the daughter of the late Claus Ruben and Anna Johanna (Kidman) Johnson. Genevieve was the wife of 43 years to her late first husband Russell M. Wilson who predeceased her in 1983 and the wife of 17 years to her late second husband Walter E. Garman who predeceased her in 2010. Genevieve was a retired analyst for the Social Security Administration in Woodlawn and had been a resident of Carroll County for over 30 years. She was a world traveler visiting all 50 states and 6 continents. Genevieve was also an active walker and enjoyed word problems and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Surviving her are daughters Michele S. Wilson and Judith W. Wood, both of Westminster; sisters Joyce Swicegood of FL, Juanita Nourie and Ramona James both of MN; step-children Earl Garman of Ellicott City, Dawn Harrod of Eldersburg, and Susan Michaelson of Westminster; grandchildren Russell Fisher of Baltimore, Michele Cuddy of Chestertown, Kimberly Beck of Chestertown, and Brian Wood of Westminster; 5 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; and a great great granddaughter due in February. Genevieve was predeceased by daughters Joan F. Myers and Beverly Gustafson; sister Lucile Ayers; brothers John and Robert Johnson; and granddaughter Linda M. Fisher. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 11 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 12 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster with Father Mark S. Bialek as celebrant. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to , 1850 York Rd., Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093.
