George E. Lang Jr., 86, of Parkton, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at home.

Born Nov. 3, 1926, in Hampstead, he was the son of the late George E. Sr. and Ethel L. White Lang. He was the husband of the late A. Burnette Hoover Lang.

Surviving are sons George E. Lang III and wife Peggy, and Gary D. Lang and wife Donna, all of Parkton, and Greg E. Lang and wife Liz, of Littlestown, Pa.; daughters Jeannie B. Harris and husband Danny, of Hampstead, and Judy A. Lang, of Felton, Pa.; sisters Ruth Holbrook, of Hampstead, and Alice Tilton, of Midlothian, Va.; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, Pa. Masonic rites will be at 8:30 p.m. today by Charity Lodge No. 134 AF&AM in Parkton.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the mortuary with the Rev. Chris Brammer officiating. Burial and military rites will follow the service in Pine Grove United Methodist Cemetery in Parkton.
