George Joseph Horn, 80, of Westminster, died Saturday, April 11, 2015, at the Dove House. Born May 5, 1934 in Maryland, he was the son of the late Mary C. Huber and George Joseph Horn. He was the husband of the late Joan Ann Horn who died July 20, 1997. Before retiring, he worked as a supervisor for Black and Decker in Hampstead and also worked in maintenance at St. John Catholic Church. He served in the Army and was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council No. 1393 and Moose Lodge No. 1381. He is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Paula M. Harris and husband Steve of Westminster, Mary Jo Horn of Westminster, companion Eleanore Huber of Westminster, sisters Rosemary Hughes and husband Bud of Aspers, Pa., Therese Nevius and husband Charles of Westminster and Ann Marie Garber and husband Ralph of Gettysburg, Pa., grandchildren Gregory Horn and Nicole Rohrback and a great-grandson Oakley Rohrback. He was predeceased by a brother Stephen Anthony Horn. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster, with Father John Lesnick and Rev. Msgr. Martin Feild as celebrants. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
