George Robert "Rob" Zink, 53, of Westminster, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House.

Born Sept. 13, 1960, in Baltimore, he was the son of George H. and Theresa Wujek Zink, of Littlestown, Pennsylvania. He was the husband of Barbara Marie Zink, whom he married March 26, 1986, and who died March 17, 2014.

He graduated summa cum laude from Loyola College in Baltimore. He also was a member of Alpha Sigma Nu and Lamba Alpha Chi honor societies. He was employed as a partner in the Arthur F. Bell Jr. and Associates Certified Public Accountants Firm in Hunt Valley.

He was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Westminster. He enjoyed soccer and played for Cardinal Gibbons High School team, and later enjoyed coaching youth soccer in Westminster. He also enjoyed playing the guitar, traveling with his wife and children and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are twin children Natalie Marie and Andrew Robert Zink, both of Westminster; a sister, Deborah Ann Zink, of Westminster; father-in-law and mother-in-law Otto and Norma Berger Klier, of Eldersburg; and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m Sunday at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, where a Christian wake will be held at 7 pm.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster, with the Rev. John Lesnick as celebrant. Interment will follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery in Westminster.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Carroll Regional Cancer Center, 555 S. Center St., Westminster, MD 21157.
