George Spiros Karadimos, 88, of Silver Spring, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2014.

He was the husband of the late Georgia B. Karadimos.

Surviving are son and daughter-in-law Spero G. and Gloria Karadimos; grandchildren Steve Nicholas Karadimos, James Marsh and Jacque Woods; siblings and spouses Peter S. and Catherine Karadimos, and Katherine and John W. Koustenis; and five great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd. West, Silver Spring.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, temporarily housed at St. Andrew Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 15100 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Gilchrist Hospice Care of Baltimore/Towson, 11311 McCormick Road, Suite 350, Hunt Valley, MD 21031; or to Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Building Fund, 701-A Norwood Road, Silver Spring, MD 20905.
