George Vernon Warrington Jr., 76, of Reisterstown, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at home.

Born April 10, 1936, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late George V. Warrington Sr. and Margaret Carrie Holsten Warrington. He was the husband of Nancylee Horner Warrington.

He was employed by Food Fair, B. Green and Company and The Chimes. He was a certified Lay Speaker of the B.W. Conference for the United Methodist Church for many years.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are son S. Christopher Warrington and wife Melissa, of Reisterstown; grandchildren Stephanie, Scott and Thomas Warrington; a sister, Margaret A. Malle, of Stevensville; a friend, Mary Louise Chaney; and also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Glyndon United Methodist Church, 4713 Butler Road, Glyndon, with the Rev. Clarence L. Roark officiating. Interment will be in Reisterstown United Methodist Church Cemetery.
