Gerald Raymond "Butch" Wineholt, 69, of Taneytown, died Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at his residence. Born May 8, 1947 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Annabelle Matthews Wineholt and Gerald Franklin Wineholt. Before retiring he worked at Black and Decker for 45 years. He graduated from Westminster High School in 1965 and served in the Navy. He enjoyed watching the Orioles, Ravens, Maryland Terrapins and Baltimore Colts. He was a coach, umpire and league official with the Taneytown Little League. He is survived by son Danny Wineholt and wife Susan of Westminster, brother Jerry L. Wineholt and wife Karen of Spring Grove, PA, grandchildren Hallie and Nick Wineholt of Westminster, former wife Elizabeth Repp Benjamin of Taneytown, longtime friend Darlene O'Brien of Sykesville, nieces and nephews Chris and Terry Wineholt, Aaron Wineholt, Heather and Travis Richendrfer and Carrie and Bryan Porter. He was predeceased by a brother Terry Wineholt. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, with Deacon Charles Barnhart officiating. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Pathfinders for Autism, 303 International Circle, Suite 110, Hunt Valley, MD 21030 in honor of grandson Nick. Online condolences may be made to the family at
