Glen Richard Lafferty, 81, of Hampstead, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at the Dove House in Westminster.

Born July 15, 1931, in Cresaptown, he was the son of the late Robert and Edna Winter Lafferty. He was the husband of Audrey A. Miller Lafferty.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the Army. Prior to retirement, he had worked as a tool and die maker for Black & Decker in Hampstead.

He was life member of the Westminster VFW Post No. 467 and a member of the Hampstead American Legion Post No. 200. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Debra L. Strevig, of Manchester; grandsons Derrick L. Palmer and Jay L. Palmer, both of Manchester; a great-granddaughter, Hayden L. Palmer, of Manchester; and a brother, Donald E. Lafferty, of Hope Mills, N.C.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
