Gloria M. Driscoll, 93, of Westminster, died March 3, 2015 at home. She lived most of her life in Springfield, Massachusetts before residing with her son and daughter-in-law in Westminster. Born January 31, 1922 in Larchmont, New York, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Eleanor Davis and sister of the late Harry T. Davis, Norman Davis, and Arthur "Tom" Davis. She was the wife of the late Richard J. Driscoll, her husband of more than 55 years. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael Markley Driscoll, Sr. and Mary Ann; grandchildren, Carol J. Perez and husband, Richardson, Elizabeth A. Leon and husband, Stephen, Michael M. Driscoll, Jr. and wife, Ciara, Mary Beth Diaz and husband, Jenaro; great-grandchildren Christopher Perez, Jason Perez, Joseph Leon, Benjamin Leon, Madison Driscoll, Michael Driscoll, Bailey Ryon, Mason Driscoll, Ethan Driscoll, Gabrielle Diaz and Landon Diaz. While in Westminster, she kept in contact with life-long friends and always enjoyed hearing about their news from Springfield. She received her B.A. degree from Western New England College, and worked at the Farm Credit Bank in Springfield. While residing in Springfield, she devoted much time to volunteerism. She was an active member and Deacon at Foster Memorial Church. She was a member of the Visiting Nurses Association in Hospice of Pioneer Valley. She was a member of the board of the YWCA. Michael and Mary Ann express their appreciation and love for the extraordinary kindness, support, and care given to Gloria for the past 7 years by her caregiver and companion, Kathleen Turfle from Visiting Angels and her husband, Bryon. Also appreciated are the efforts of and care given to Gloria by the staff of Carroll Hospice and Chaplain Art Monroe. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, Maryland, 21157 or to Foster Memorial Church, 36 Puritan Rd., Springfield, MA 01129. A memorial service and inurnment will be held in Springfield, Massachusetts at the convenience of the family. Cremation arrangements by Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster.
