Goldie Earle Harden, 89, of Westminster, died Monday, July 8, 2013, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House.

Born July 10, 1923, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Esther Howard Morton and Earl Morton. She was the wife of William Clifton Harden, who died May 11, 1994.

She was employed as a microfilm clerk at Random House and also worked 20 years for Kessler Shoe.

She was a member of the Random House Alumni Club and the Gleaners. She enjoyed traveling with her late husband, watching old movies, listening to 1940s music and collecting Elvis memorabilia, bears and baskets. She also enjoyed shopping and traveling with her daughter, Marsha.

Surviving are daughters Mary E. Lerner, of Skokie, Ill., Marsha E. Harden, of Westminster; a son-in-law, Joseph N. Shelton, of Seymour, Tenn.; a sister, Jean Shaw, of Bethany Beach, Del.; grandsons Jeremy Lerner, of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Joshua Lerner, of Wilmette, Ill.; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Jean Shelton; sisters Barbara Tuggle and Esther Staub; a brother, Earl Morton; and a son-in-law, Robert Lerner.

Friends may call from noon until the time of memorial service, 1 p.m. Saturday at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Inurnment will be held at Meadow Branch Cemetery at a later date.
