Gracie Elkins Linton, 82, of Westminster, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, at the Golden Living Center.

Born March 11, 1931, in Catlettsburg, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Leota Willis Elkins and Oliver Elkins. She was the wife of Robert Eugene Linton, her husband of 52 years.

Before retiring, she was a caregiver at the Center for Progressive Learning in Owings Mills. She was a former active member of Hilltop Assembly of God.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughters and sons-in-law Loretta Spangler, of Westminster, Roberta and Ed Sass, of Woodstock, Ill., and Gracie and Rick Gilmore, of Westminster; brothers and sisters Charity Jakubovich, of Bowling Green, Ky., Everette Elkins, of Littlestown, Pa., Clifford Elkins, of New Oxford, Pa., Rosalee James, of Westminster, and Oliver Virgil Elkins, of Hanover, Pa.; grandchildren Nathan, Matthew, and Andrew Spangler, and Bradley Gilmore, all of Westminster, and Christopher, Jonathan, and Rebekah Sass of Woodstock.

She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Dave Spangler; a grandson, Adam Gilmore; and brothers Chester and Lester Elkins.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Garry Sheaffer, of Bethel Assembly of God, officiating. Interment will follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery.
