Grace Elizabeth "Lib" Strine, 90, of New Windsor, died Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at St. Catherine's Nursing Center, in Emmitsburg, after declining health.

Born Oct. 26, 1923, in Medford, Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late John Calvin Strine and Viola Cashman Strine.

She graduated from New Windsor High School. She was previously employed at Cambridge Rubber Company, in Taneytown; Newman Press and Carroll Petroleum, both in Westminster. She clerked in the family grocery store, J.C. Strine & Sons, in New Windsor, for many years. She retired from New Windsor State Bank, where she was an administrative clerk for many years.

She was a member of the Edgewood Church of the Brethren, near New Windsor, where she served in many offices including secretary and treasurer, and was a member of the Women's Fellowship. She was a member of the New Windsor Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, participating in their Drill Team for many years.

Surviving are nephews and nieces Lanny Harchenhorn, of New Windsor, Linda Bostian, of Taneytown, Terry Harchenhorn, of Middleburg, Lee Strine, of Tyrone, Drew Strine, of New Windsor, Bruce Strine, of Westminster, Sherry Norfleet, of Southern Maryland, and Wayne Strine, of Westminster; a special great-nephew, John Harchenhorn, of New Windsor; and several other great-nephews and great-nieces.

She was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Harchenhorn; brothers Calvin, Raymond, and Donald Strine; nephews Eugene and Barry Strine, and John Strine III; and a great-nephew, Nicholas Harchenhorn.

The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service, 11 a.m. Friday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster, with the Rev. Paul Leatherman and the Rev. Bruce Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in the Pipe Creek Cemetery near Linwood.
