Grace Kathleen Keeney, age 72, of New Windsor, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, after an extended illness. Born on May 7, 1944 in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Florence Irene Lewis Baumgardner. She was the wife of George T. Keeney, her husband of 51 years and to whom she married on July 7, 1966 in Westminster. Grace grew up in Virginia and later in Maryland. She was a 1962 graduate of Westminster High School. She was a member of Community Baptist Church, formerly known as both Heritage Baptist Church and Warfieldsburg Bible Church, for 44 years. She enjoyed puzzle books and was an avid reader. In addition to her husband she is survived by daughters, Belinda Eaton and husband Mike and Ann Aston-Martin and husband Patrick, all of Westminster and Pamela Hartwell and husband Kenneth of Augusta, WV; siblings, Shirley Bauerlien of Taneytown; Ray Baumgardner and wife Bertha, Shannon Baumgardner, Billy Baumgardner and Linda Rollison, all of Westminster; Phyllis Warner and husband Mike of New Windsor; grandchildren, Kellie Dolly and husband Dustin, Quinten Eaton, Tara Hartwell and Xander Martin; great grandchild, Scarlett, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by daughter, Christine Keeney and brothers, Bobby, Delmar, Lonnie and David Baumgardner. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 310 Church St., New Windsor, with Pastor Michael Roadcup, officiating. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery, Dennings. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm. Wednesday until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to , National Direct Response Headquarters, 1200 Hosford St., Suite 101, Hudson, WI 54016-9316.
