Gregory Huntley Ganjon, 59, of Taneytown, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster.

Born Sept. 23, 1954, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Richard A. Ganjon Sr. and Doris J. Ganjon.

He enjoyed cooking, hiking, fishing, kayaking and spending time with family. He was also an active member of the Hilltop Assembly of God in Westminster.

Surviving are sisters Jean-Marie Downing, of Eldersburg, and Julie Brown and husband Troy, of Levittown, Pa.; brother and sister-in-law Gary and Karen Ganjon, of Westminster; son and daughter-in-law Gregory and Sarah Ganjon Jr., of Westminster; daughters and son-in-law Tiffany and Nathan Padgett, of Lynchburg, Va., and Catherine Ganjon, of Taneytown; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by a brother, Richard A. Ganjon Jr.

His body has been donated to the Maryland Anatomy Board for education and research.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Hilltop Assembly of God, 30 N. Cranberry Road, Westminster.
