Hagan L. Jackson, 93, of Westminster, formerly of Catonsville, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House.

Born Jan. 27, 1920, in Union, Miss., he was the son of the late Moody and Lena Houston Jackson. He was the husband of Margaret W. Westphal Jackson, his wife of 69 years.

He had been an engineer and a manager at Westinghouse for 40 years. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in radio engineering. He liked being outdoors, hunting, fishing, boating and spending time with his family.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children William Jackson, of Troy, Idaho; Margaret Bloom and Patricia Scilipoti, of Westminster; and John Jackson, of Catonsville; sisters Bonnie Ruth Ellis, of Utica, Miss.; and Annie Margaret Rasbury, of Birmingham, Ala.; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Carmen Jackson.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Krug Chapel at Carroll Lutheran Village, 300 St. Luke Circle, Westminster. Service will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.

Cremation is by Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.
