Harold Eugene "Horse" Robertson, age 85, of Hanover, PA died Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at his home after an extended illness. Born March 18, 1931 in Carroll County, he was the son of the late Jesse and Lela Marion Baker Robertson. He was the husband of Gloria Fox Robertson, his wife of 53 years. Mr. Robertson was employed for more than 45 years as a milk truck driver with M.R. Zent of Keymar and then for 10 years as a dump truck driver for Charles Stambaugh of Union Bridge. He loved talking to the farmers when he picked up their milk, enjoyed part-time farming, working with horses and watching Western movies. In addition to his wife he is survived by daughters, Connie L. Zumbrun and husband Robert of Manchester; Nancy L. Fogle and longtime companion, Gary Clem of Kearneysville, WV; 4 grandsons, 4 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson and several nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family and was preceded in death by sisters, Marion Good, Betty Slorp and Louise Ebaugh and brothers, Charles, Jesse, Jasper Woodrow, James and Halbert Robertson. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20 at Hartzler Funeral Home, 310 Church St., New Windsor, with Rev. Sue Bowen, a United Methodist pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Brick Church Cemetery, near New Windsor. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 19.
