Harriett Richardson Ditchkus, 91, of Hampstead, formerly of Melbourne, Fla., died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at Long View Nursing Home in Manchester.

Born Nov. 24, 1920, in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Emerson Carroll Richardson and Susie Virginia Collins Richardson. Twice married, she was the wife of the late Clarence R. Tyler Sr., and the late Ignace Ditchkus.

Years ago, she worked in computer operation for Bendix Corporation. She was a member of Melbourne Moose and enjoyed volunteering at the Holmes Medical Center and the Melbourne Senior Center, all in Melbourne, Fla. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, gardening and traveling, especially by cruising.

Surviving are daughter Kitty Shaffer and husband Paul, of Hampstead; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Clarence R. "Toby" Tyler Jr.; and four siblings.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24 at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 3100 Shiloh Road, Hampstead, with the Rev. Denise Millett officiating.
